Venture capital is one of the most important financing tools that contributes to the development of entrepreneurship, which is the driving force behind our economy. In line with Turkey's sustainable growth targets, venture capital plays a crucial role in supporting innovative business ideas and generating long-term value for the real sector. At GİSED, we are working tirelessly to make this potential more visible and accessible.

The Purpose of GİSED's Establishment

The Turkish Venture Capital Funds Association (GİSED) was established to support the development of venture capital investment funds, enhance sectoral collaboration, and raise public awareness. When we set out in 2020, our primary goal was to create a stronger ecosystem by bringing together knowledge and investor networks in the field of venture capital. Today, I am pleased to see that we have taken concrete steps towards this goal.

Our Vision for Promoting Investment Culture

We believe it is important for venture capital to be accessible not only to large institutional investors but also to a broader investor base, including individual investors, pension funds, and family offices. In this regard, we are working to promote investment culture through education, seminars, and publications. Every new actor joining the ecosystem represents a valuable contribution to Turkey's entrepreneurial potential.

Sectoral Solidarity and Policy Development

GİSED not only creates a platform for cooperation among venture capital investment funds, but also contributes to the development of regulations tailored to the needs of our sector by fostering constructive dialogue with public authorities. Through our constructive work with policymakers, we are laying the foundations for a more transparent, reliable, and sustainable investment environment. We also develop sectoral recommendations for simplifying regulations and accelerating investment processes.

A Partner for Entrepreneurs and Fund Managers

Ensuring that entrepreneurs have access to the right capital and providing not only financial but also strategic support are among our priorities. We guide fund managers in creating more effective portfolios and making informed investment decisions based on accurate data, while also promoting open information sharing. GİSED continues to serve as a knowledge centre, a guide, and a communication network for all stakeholders.
